When
she started at
Wood Stone, she was hired as the first on-site
bookkeeper (formerly being done by a lady from her home).
She set up the first integrated
accounting/manufacturing package -
creating all the part numbers, bills of material, customer
and vendor database, etc. Wood Stone was
a small office at the time and she was involved in
all the day-to-day machinations of the factory; human
resources, sales, and manufacturing. As the company
burgeoned, Jackie requested to be
included in the Sales department and train other, more
qualified bean counters to take over accounting functions. She
is still involved in company SOP and HR, but
according to Jackie, "My firstest and bestest job is
SALES, baby."
"My favorite thing about working
at Wood Stone is the people and the atmosphere; we’re all
here to do the same great job together, so all of our
efforts and opinions
really mean something. And we have fun doing it!"
Favorite Wood Stone recipe: "Oh
jeez,,, Chocolate Gourmandize? Charbroiled Scallops on
Seaweed Salad? Potatoes with a little salt. That’s it,
roast potatoes. No wait! Corn pudding! No wait! Berry
Cobbler!"
